There’s nothing quite like a perfectly crafted Bloody Mary to kick off a weekend brunch. This recipe creates a large batch of flavorful Bloody Mary mix that you can prepare ahead of time, allowing you to relax and enjoy your guests instead of fussing over individual drinks.

  • 1 (46-ounce) bottle tomato-vegetable juice cocktail
  • Juice of 1 ½ medium lemons
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon steak sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon prepared horseradish
  • 1 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • ½ teaspoon celery salt

  1. Combine and Season: In a large pitcher, combine the tomato-vegetable juice cocktail, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and brown sugar.
  2. Spice it Up: Add the Worcestershire sauce, horseradish, hot pepper sauce, and celery salt. Stir well to incorporate all the flavors.
  3. Let the Flavors Mingle: Cover the pitcher and refrigerate the mix for at least 8 hours, or ideally 12 hours, to allow the flavors to meld and develop a richer taste.

Serving Suggestions:

  • When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice.
  • Pour your desired amount of chilled Bloody Mary mix over the ice.
  • Garnish with classic accompaniments like celery stalks, olives, lemon wedges, or even crispy bacon!

Tip: Feel free to adjust the amount of hot pepper sauce to your desired level of spice.
