This refreshing cocktail featuring Campari® and sweet vermouth was popularized by American tourists in Italy. Think of it as a Negroni, but with a lighter touch, perfect for afternoon sipping at a charming cafe in Rome or even enjoying a taste of Italy at home.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups ice
  • 1 ½ fluid ounces Campari® or similar bitter orange aperitif
  • 1 ½ fluid ounces sweet vermouth
  • 3 ounces club soda, or as needed
  • 1 (1 inch) piece orange peel
